MSISS Life

All the students in MSISS, despite the endless projects and nine a.m. lectures, do thoroughly enjoy the course, especially the social dimension. The big plus with the course is its class size of 24, which makes meeting people and getting to know fellow students much easier than a course like BESS or Engineering. It also means that people are much more willing to help each other and work together, which is very important in a team-centred course like MSISS. There is a strong sense of community within the course.

The MSISS Society also means that there are many inter-year nights out, which are always enjoyable occasions, and one major weekend trip a year. Students from each year get to know each other very well through the duration of the course, especially after the MSISS Soccer League, which is always a bitterly fought competition with a lot of pride at stake.

MSISS students tend to socialize together a lot, but it doesn't mean that students don't meet people from other courses. Since many MSISS courses overlap with Engineering and BESS, meeting new people is never a problem even for the shy souls among us. Also if you are a member of any of Trinity's many societies and sporting clubs, you get to know lots of friends from a lot of different backgrounds. Even if you are not into sports or societies, sitting outside the Pavilion bar in College Park on a sunny afternoon is always a good way to meet others and relax.

One thing is for sure, there is never a dull moment in Trinity especially in the fast moving world that is MSISS.
